Beer and Wine in Bulgaria

Bulgaria, Sofia, Happy Grill Restaurant - enjoying a drink.
The beers and wines brewed in Bulgaria are of a very high quality.
The beer is award winning, and the one I chose to drink - named
Kamenitza - was of a very high quality. What's more, forget the
high prices in the pubs in he U.K., here the beer is very cheap.
Similarly to most countries, the cost of beer in a supermarket
- for consumption at home - is very cheap, but even in bars and
restaurants it is still relatively cheap.
Bulgaria is a prolific grape producing country, and much of it
goes towards one of their proudest and greates exports - wine.
I am particularly fond of the bulgarian red wines, and have friends
who say the white is delicious too. Like beer, the prices of bulgarian
wines are relatively low.
Most Bulgarians would make their own wine from grapes grown in
their own gardens, or the gardens of friends or relatives. The grapes
are also used by Bulgarians to make the powerful Rakkia - which
surely must be the Bulgarian national drink.
